One membership
Everyone who joins AMAPP joins on the same footing, with the same access to community, education, and peer supervision. There are two rates: standard, and student or concession. Your professional background, whether you are a researcher, an advocate, an educator, a lived-experience expert, or a practitioner, describes who you are in the community. It does not put you in a different tier.
Thinking about accreditation?
Accreditation is a separate, earned credential for members who deliver or train to deliver psychedelic-assisted therapy. It is assessed against the AMAPP Accreditation Guidelines. Members who complete it are recognised as accredited practitioners, with the accredited status shown in the member community, an accreditation badge, and a listing in AMAPP's public practitioner directory. You join as a member first, then apply for accreditation when you are ready.
Application process
Reviewed within five working days. Open each step to see what's involved.
Step 1
Confirm you meet AMAPP's eligibility criteria before paying. The $50 fee in Step 2 is non-refundable.
AMAPP welcomes practitioners working in or alongside legal psychedelic-assisted therapy in Australia: clinicians, researchers, allied health, integration specialists, harm reduction workers, pastoral care providers, and students.
Your current AHPRA registration is the primary qualification evidence. Applies to psychologists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, occupational therapists, and other AHPRA-regulated professions.
Applies to counsellors, pastoral care workers, integration specialists, harm reduction workers, social workers in non-AHPRA jurisdictions, and overseas practitioners. You'll need one or more of:
Accreditation is a separate credential you apply for as a member, once you have joined. When you apply, you'll also need evidence of PAT-specific training, supervised PAT experience, and PAT-relevant continuing professional development.
Once you've confirmed you meet the criteria, proceed to Step 2 to pay the application fee.
Step 2
$50 non-refundable. Paid via Stripe before uploading documents.
The $50 application fee covers the time and labour of the credentialling review and is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of your application.
Payment is handled securely through Stripe. You'll receive a tax receipt by email immediately after payment, plus a link to the document upload form for Step 3.
If your application later needs additional information, you won't be charged again to resubmit.
Step 3
One application for everyone. Qualification, registration, and practice evidence. PDF, JPEG, or PNG.
After paying in Step 2, complete the membership application form. The link to the form is in your Stripe payment confirmation.
You will fill out the form, attach your supporting documents, and the page bundles everything into a single application package to download. The final step is to email that package, your form summary and your documents together, to credentialing@amapp.org.au.
Accepted formats: PDF, JPEG, or PNG. Combine multiple pages into a single PDF where you can.
Your documents are bundled into one zip on the application page, which you then email yourself. Most email apps cap attachments at around 25 MB, so if your package is larger than that, email credentialing@amapp.org.au and they will arrange another way to send it.
Step 4
Reviewed within five working days. Welcome email with member portal access.
Applications are reviewed by AMAPP's credentialling team within five working days of submission. You'll receive an email with the outcome.
Approved applications receive a welcome email with login credentials for the member portal, an invitation to the Mighty Networks community, and immediate access to the next webinar and peer supervision session.
The welcome email also includes a link to begin the accreditation pathway. If you plan to pursue an AMAPP accredited credential (Therapist, Facilitator, Prescriber, or Supervisor), you can apply for accreditation once applications open. They are on hold while the guidelines are finalised, and members are told the day they open.
If your application needs additional information, the credentialling team will email you with the specifics. You won't be charged again to resubmit.
Step 5
Direct debit for $300 standard or $150 concession.
Your annual subscription is collected by direct debit on your join date, on the same date each year.
At each annual renewal, members re-confirm their eligibility and declare that their circumstances are unchanged, including their professional registration and criminal-record history.
For any questions about your renewal or membership, email info@amapp.org.au.
Before you start
By starting the application, you confirm you've reviewed the eligibility detail in Step 1 and accept that the application fee is not returned in the event of decline. Pay the fee, then complete your membership application.
